We were honoured to welcome Janet Baker, widow of our Founder, Nigel Lewis Baker MBE to the Chilworth Day Unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, where we unveiled a beautiful painting we donated in memory of Nigel. It is now hung in Chilworth Day Unit together with a plaque:
“In memory of Nigel Lewis Baker, Inspirational and Dedicated Founder of the Topic of Cancer”
The staff on Chilworth work tirelessly to ensure that patients undergoing chemotherapy or related treatments receive efficient, compassionate and safe care. Nigel received some of his treatment at the Unit and we hope the painting offers some calming solace for other cancer patients.
