The Virtual Christmas Concert will be hosted live on YouTube, Saturday 12th December at 7pm. The concert will feature six unique community choirs, including ToC Voices, performing known and loved carols – with a twist! The concert hopes to raise over £3000, via JustGiving, for both Parkinson’s UK Guildford & South Surrey and Topic of Cancer.
Founder Of Motivation by Music, and multi award-winning local choir leader, Emily Bollon, says sessions have given members (especially those shielding) support, connection and escape during these difficult times. Preparations for the Virtual Christmas Concert have given members a positive focus amidst the changing weather and unpredictable nature of the pandemic.
In a year that has seen our communities struggle physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, the motivation behind MbM’s Virtual Christmas Concert is to claim back 2020. Now more than ever it is important to celebrate our collective resilience; the power of community; and the surpassing ability of singing to connect us all.
